The better way is to delete the paragraph mark at the end of the first line, insert a space if necessary, and then adjust the indents of what is now a single paragraph. A quick way to do that is to click in the first line and press Ctrl+Shift+C (the shortcut for Copyįormat), then click in the second line and press Ctrl+Shift+V (the shortcut for Paste Format). The brute-force fix (not very good in general, but OK for one instance) is to adjust the indents of the second line to be the same as those of the first line. Now, specifically about the two lines at the bottom of your screen shot: If changing the indents of the first line does not affect the second line, then they must be two different paragraphs - there must be a paragraph mark at the end of the first line. Those lines, the Table Tools tab should appear on the ribbon as confirmation. Finally, the lines from "Andrew" through "White" are probably in a table if you click on one of You may also see hooked left-pointing arrows, which are line breaks that start a new line without starting a new paragraph. The first thing you need to do is turn on "nonprinting" characters by clicking the ¶ button on the ribbon. So what am I doing wrong? How do I move the text I want to move but not the entire document?įrom that description, the text is not connected into paragraphs the way it would appear from the screen shot. Therefore, it is not doing what I want/need it to do. I tried moving the indent arrows in the ruler bar but that only moved the “I am currently unemployed….” over (as well as the 1 st column - the “Andrew”,, ,, “Not Available”, ” Not Available” & “White”) but the “get a job….” So, in that example, I need the “I am currently unemployed….” farther left which’ll then pull the “get a job….” up a bit, etc. However, in the case of the paragraphs in the current state the left side is indented too far right.
How to change margins on one page only word pdf#
I have the info I need to fill-in typed in a word processing document (the screen shot example) & I need to put the pages I printed the PBF document on back into the printer & print the word processing document onto the same pages & have the answersįit into the needed spots in the PDF document. I am trying to fill-out a PDF file but I can not write directly into the PDF document so I need to print that out separately. What I am trying to do is form 2 documents together. While I have tried to get a job I have not had any success.” closer to the edges of that page. Now, looking at that, what I want is for the “Andrew” all the way down to “Unemployed” to stay exactly where it is….but I want the sentences/paragraph “I am currently unemployed & have been since moving to Missouri in February 2013. I have edited out some info for privacy but this screen shot is just a small example of that I want: As a matter a fact, it only moved the 1 single line of text but not the entire paragraph.

I have already tried that but it did not do what I wanted it to do.
